Julie stared at the clearing. She stared at it some more. "Um... Is this a surprise welcome party? Because I don't see anything that looks like a place where someone would live..." She said, looking around the clearing for any signs of life. They really wouldn't have pokemon jumping out of the grass, would they? "No, no, you're looking at this the wrong way." Dustin said, laughing. The geodude floated over to a certain spot and entered some code in the ground(?!) and suddenly there was a tiny beep as a trapdoor made an appearance, opening up soundlessly. "Whoa..." She breathed, moving her bangs out of her face again to take a closer look.

The first thing a17-year-old felt when she woke up on the 24th of March, a decidedly unremarkable day, was that everything was blurrier than she remembered, even without the use of her glasses.
